  • The AMRAD No. 2492 Long Wave Tuner covered the wavelength range of 2,000 to 20,000 meters. It was used to receive Arlington time signals and the trans-Atlantic stations. The wavelength was changed by moving two brass plugs between sets of contacts on the face panel. The tuner needed two .001 mfd Variable Condensers and a VT Detector to make a complete receiver.
