  • The Azatom Horizon HB1 DAB Radio is a compact unit with an enhanced sound using a small but highly efficient powerful speaker design. 

    It runs from the included external Micro USB 5V DC Power Adapter or from 6V dry cells which also act as clock power backup during a mains power outage.

    Technical details

    The radio tuner is built around a DAB Module GVM140X daughter board marked as GVM140H01 R05 installed over the main PCB.

    A DAB SoC GL3140 marked as GL3140A-B169 at position U201, a SOIC-8 16 Megabit Serial Flash Memory QH16-104HIP at position U202, and two crystals/resonators at positions Y201 and Y202 are found in the GVM140H01 daughter board.

    The main PCB, marked as ZT-1604D_MAIN_REV0.4, uses a SOP-28 ET2354 4-stereo-inputs/2­channel-outputs digital control audio processor at position U1, a ESOP-8 NS4871 Mono class AB audio amplifier (driving the internal loudspeaker) at position U2, a Bluetooth module marked as AZATOM-Horizon 17.09.06 YH-C69A38 CE96, among other smaller components.
