  • This meter was part of the "course work" for a study by mail electronics course that was advertized in the 1960s by DeVRY Institute of Technology. You would pay a certain number of dollars per month and they would send you written materials and you would build some test equipment. The transistors are in sockets. The batteries are D cells, there are four total, three are wired in series for meter power, one is for ohms power. The batteries are soldered together and placed in a cardboard enclosure, there are no battery clips.
