  • Monophonic recorder and player. Standard 1/4 inch tape in 3 inch reels. Crystal microphone plugs into 1/8 inch jack. No bias oscillator. Permanent magnet erases during record. Single track records across entire width of tape. No gain adjust for record or playback. No capstan so nominal 3 3/4 inch-per-second tape speed varies during recording. Single motor drives play/record and rewind. No fast forward. Although the audio quality is primitive it was a great first tape recorder for the budding 11 year old audio enthusiast of 1961.
