  • Notes
  • The Bower Electric 2 Valve Set was advertised as a “wonderful 2 valve set” capable of receiving broadcast programmes up to 75 miles using variometer tuning, which the company described as “the ideal form.” The set was marketed as a complete outfit, supplied with all batteries and aerial equipment required for immediate operation.

The receiver was promoted as powerful enough to operate a loudspeaker up to 20 miles on a PMG approved aerial, or four pairs of headphones at 50 miles, indicating a relatively high gain audio stage for an early 1920s two valve design.
