The wrist watch features a personal locator beacon ( PLB ) capable of transmitting its coordinates on 2 frequencies, a digital signal on 406 MHz for satellites during 0.44 seconds every 50 seconds and an analog signal ( rescue ) during 0.75 seconds every 2.25 seconds
monitored by Cospas-Sarsat ( Cospas = Space System for the Search of Vessels in Distress; Sarsat = Search and Rescue Satellite aided Tracking ).
The chronometer is powered by a No. 399 1.55 V battery, the transmitter is powered by 2 CR2025 3V batteries.
