Band switch splits broadcast band coverage into two overlapping regions.
The Marquette model 5 chassis looks similar. Differences are no band switch, a single on/off volume control knob located directly below the tuning dial knob, the cabinet, the dial, and the escutcheon.
Notice that the Century model 5 chassis, front view, shows an unused hole directly under the tuning dial knob, exactly where the Marquette's on/off volume control knob is located, suggesting that the chassis are related and most likely made by Century. Chassis tags are identical, and speakers look identical.
The Century Caryl model 5 has a similar chassis but is closer to the Marquette model 5 with a single on/off volume control knob.
