  • Channel Master Model 6508 (Original). Made in Japan.  AM only. This model was produced in 1961-62/63 and then discontinued for a 6508 (Revised) version which began production in 1964. Model number 6508 was used for the original and revised versions. Some references cite '6508' as the original version and '6508 (Revised)' or '6508 (Late)' as the revised version.

    SAMS Photofact Transistor Radio Series, TSM-11 (April, 1962), at pages 35-38 reports two models (6508 and 6509) without describing differences and with the picture of model 6509 only.
