  • Observations:
    The CB transceiver is made in Japan probably in the early 1970’s, with an exceptional quality. As found in the original box, it operates on the emergency channel 9 at 27.065 MHz (A channel switch position) and is equipped with crystal slots for two more channels on B and C switch positions.
    The transceiver is equipped a call button and with squelch, then can be also turned off.
    The CB operates at DC voltage 12 V, from 8 x AA internal battery on a case (missing in this case) or from an external source. However, it works and was tested with a 9 V rechargeable battery type 9F22.
    It is equipped on the side with connectors for external power supply, antenna and speaker. Antenna: 9 external elements having 4 ft = 122 cm length. Transmitted power around 1 W. Call tone 2 kHz.
    Weight: 900 g without batteries, around 1 Kg with 12V battery case including 8 x AA Energizer batteries. Speaker: 0.2 W; 8 Ω/ approx. 2-inch diameter. Sensitivity comparable with modern CB transceiver (Cobra HH34 tested), around -86 dBm with an excellent S+N/N of more than 10 dB.
