  • This US CONAR kit was likely part of an NRI (National Radio Institute) mail order training course. It uses the same case as the vacuum tube version which was offered before transistors replaced vacuum tubes. The tube version (model 7YUK) has been found advertised in the CONAR catalogs from 1966 through 1974. So far, this transistor version has been found advertised in the CONAR catalogs from 1970 to 1974. Each kit lists for $23.95 US, however NRI students and graduates could purchase either one for $19.85 US.
