  • The Crosley 128 "Battery Mayor" is an Battery operated 8 tube BC band receiver.  Has push pull audio output stage. Has shadow dial that uses neon lamp and continous (stepless) tone control.

    From the Crosley News Brochure:  The beautiful front panel is of stump walnut veneer.  The exquisitely curved arch is supported by delicately reeded pillars.  A delightful effect is furnished by the burl maple overlay immediately beneath the arch.  The speaker grill is coved and backed with gold cloth.

    In many cases Crosley used the chassis number as the model number, and added a model name to some models to help distinguish versions that used common chassis.  Here are the models that used the 128 chassis versions:
