  • Notes
  • The Crosley 141 "Book Case" (often called "Library Universal") is an AC operated 5 tube BC band receiver. The BC band frequency range is 550 to 1750kHz. The cabinet looks like a set of books, double doors. The case is covered with a leatherette. The front opens to expose the radio and speaker. The Book Case front has the following volumes: 1 Music; 2 Religion; 3 Education; 4 News; 5 Politics; 6 Sports; 7 Entertainment; 8 Humor. This radio model can not be earlier than 1932, because of some tubes used.

In many cases Crosley used the chassis number as the model number, and added a model name to some models to help distinguish versions that used common chassis.  Here are the models that used the 141 chassis versions:

    Model Model Type Chassis
    Bigfella Console 141
    Book Case Table 141
Jewel Case Console Table (Wandtisch) 141
    Nomad Table 141
    Playtime Jr. Grandfather Clock 141
    Vagabond Table 141
