  • Notes
  • The literature is at variance about the Buddy Boy models, for instance model number 54 or 54G - or 54Q, as well as in the name: New Buddy, or Buddy Boy or New Buddy Boy. The only difference is in the cabinet, where there is a round top version and a flat top version. But which cabinet belongs to which number and name is not clear. The sources are divergent. Almost any combination can be found.

Here it is chassis 58 (3 knobs) - please do not confuse with similar chassis 56 (2 knobs) and chassis 54 (2 knobs). The "New Buddy Boy" for chassis 56 has the scale over the right knob (two knobs) - as has chassis 54. The Crosley 56 is the DC version of this AC model 54(G) - which you can find in two versions: "round top" and "flat top".
