  • This model as second version of "Two-Stage A.F. Amplifier", sometimes called also "2-Step A.F.Amp." has no front switch to select the number of active tubes.
    Rider's schematic (without switch) calls it 2-Step Amp., but Crosley advertised Two-Stage Amp. (see Douglas) The first "Two-Step Amp" had a front switch as advertised by Crosley. Riders is insofar in error.
    In the September 1922 QST advertisement for Crosley this amp was referred to as the "Crosley Two-Stage Audio Frequency amplifier" in one picture and then the "Two-Step Amplifier" in the cut with the Harko Senior No. V.
