  • Doron Brothers sold this galena detector to Sears who called it the Acme Galena Detector. This detector has the Doron Brothers tag on the side of the base.

    Designed for any combination of one or two crystals.

    • Can use silicon + galena (one in each cup, held by fusible metal) with cat whisker contact.
    • Can also form a perikon detector with two crystals (zincite + bornite, etc.).
    • Carborundum can be clamped between the two cups.
      Base: black moulded composition, highly polished, 3½ × 2¼ × ⅞ inches.
      All parts heavily silver-nickeled.
      Complete with cat whisker and piece of galena.
