  • Notes
  • The William B. Duck Ferron Detector was manufactured for Duck by the Clapp-Eastham Company. The Ferron Detector was quite popular in the teens. Sensitivity was claimed to be slightly better than any other crystal detector and the "Ferron" crystal was not injuriously affected by the strongest signals. The Ferron Detector must have sold well. It was still advertised in the 1920 Duck #14 catalog. It is interesting to note that the "Ferron" crystal was not sold separately but only on a renewal basis. The user had to return his bad crystal along with his payment in order to receive a new one.
