  • This is an absorption wavemeter using a germanium diode detector and a 200 microamp moving coil meter to indicate resonance. It is housed in a standard Eddystone diecast box with a socket for a plug-in coil.

    The Model 696 was supplied with 8 coils covering 200 kHz to 150 MHz, whereas the Model 696/1 had 9 coils covering 200 kHz to 220 MHz.

    Two coil stands were included, as well as individual hand-calibrated charts in a containing tube.
