  • A very common Edison phonograph, but fitted with two reproducers (Polyphone cylinder reproducers) and two horns, creating an echo effect. One of the earliest attempts to increase sound volume.

    Un comunissimo fonografo Edison ma dotato di due riproduttori e due trombe. Uno dei primi tentativi di aumentare il volume del suono creando un effetto di eco.

    Reiss lists the Polyphone cylinder reproducers (attachment) as manufactured from 1899-1901 and were made for a number of Edison and Columbia products during those years.
