  • Notes
  • The PP series are all layer cells, often 4  or 6 stack of exact type used in "Batrymax"/"Radio Batteries HT packs (typically 4 x stacks of 15 "biscuit" style cells). There never was a PP2.

Connection type: PP9 style snap, spacing might differ though looks identical.

Between 15000AH to 20000mAH depending on  load

    Equivalents:

    • GEC BB28
    • Vidor T6008
    • Others: DT8, TR8, VT8

Early Roberts Transistor sets used this. The PP8/2 is still available (2012: €27) but is a battery for electric fence with two sets of connections and two PP8 layer packs internally (100 x 200 x 65 mm), However unless you want total authenticity, using 6 x D Cells or possibly 4 x F cells from a PJ996 Lantern pack works out about 1/4 cost.
