  • The Fairchild model 247 Stereo Converter is also know as the model 247 Stereo Attachment. It is part of the Fairchild model 248 stereo preamplifier. The Fairchild model 248 stereo preamplifier consists of 2 Fairchild model 245 mono preamplifiers and one Fairchild model 247 Stereo Converter. The model 247 Stereo Converter acts as a stereo/monophonic control system, with a master gain control, a function selector, and optional loudness compensation. The model 247 is the master control for both of the model 245 mono preamplifiers.
