  • The model Capehart-Panamuse Chippendale 21-M-3 exists for AM only or combined with FM reception. This AM chassis has 6 tubes and receives BB, 2 x SW plus Band spread. M-3 is the amplifier A-9 with 6 tubes and one 12" "Precision Tone" super speaker. See details and summaries in this common text for Capehart Radio-Phonographs. Post 3 is specific for this last pre war model family and the changer used.

    6-tube AM tuner chassis: 6SK7 RF, 6J5 osc, 6SA7 converter, 6SK7 IF, 6U5 mag. eye, 6Q7 det-AVC-1st audio. Added is the 6-tube M-3 amplifier A-9: 6R7 phase inverter, 6SC7 duo driver, 2 x 6V6G, 2 x 5Y3G. Total is 12 tubes. See Rider's Capehart-Farnsworth page 20-1 to 20-16 for the tuners and amplifiers. Designations on page 20-7 are misleading!
