- The Firestone S-7404-7 is a large multiband console. Band coverage: BC, 1.65-5.5 MHz, 5.5-18 MHz, and 9.2-10 MHz (31 m "bandspread"). Six pushbuttons set by a pair of variable capacitors for each. Switchable selectivity to tradeoff selectivity vs. high frequency audio response. Rotatable shielded loop antenna, with mechanical cable linkage to knob on front panel. Speaker has fixed stiff paper dispersion cone attached to front of magnet pole piece in center of cone (appearance similar to "whizzer cone," but does not move with main cone). Built in loop antenna.
