  • This is a 1963 Fisher President VIII 8000 radio console consisting of the Fisher 200R FM tuner, 400-CX-2 preamplifier, SA-300B amplifier, Ampex 1250 reel-to-reel tape deck, and the Micacord 10 turntable. There are a total of 8 speakers: 2 x 12" woofers, 4 x 5" midranges, and 2 x 3 1/2" tweeters. The preamplifier has 10 tubes, amplifier has 10 tubes, FM tuner has 15 tubes, and the Ampex has 10 tubes. The console cost $2695.00 in 1963 and was the top of the Fisher line of hifi consoles.
