  • The advertising pamphlet identifies the Radak Wireless Set as a Tuning Coil and Detector mounted on a Base Panel with four binding posts, a 2000 ohm double head set, 100 foot antenna with lead in, ground wire, and insulators, and an instruction book, all nicely packed in a box that will do as a carrying case. There are no identifying markings on the radio itself.

The pamphlet says 'The Radak is one of the products made and distributed by Fletcher Electric Company, 34 West 36th Street, New York City. Phone - Fitz Roy 1120. The Radak Wireless Set was offered complete for $14.00  including shipping to any point in the U.S.A., or $20.00 in Canada.

The pamphlet calls this 'The Hand Camera of Wireless! A snappy  little Radio Set! Small and light as a postcard camera'.

Fletcher Electric Company was short-lived, renting a shop in Dec 1921 at 34 W. 36th Street in Manhattan, and their assets sold at a bankruptcy sale Dec 1, 1922.

The front of the pamphlet has a dealer name space that says 'For Sale by' with 'Albany Radio Corporation' stamped on it. Albany Radio Corp was a large radio wholesaler who may have sold these after buying them at the bankruptcy sale, or possibly they were an outlet used by Fletcher from the beginning.

This set was advertised and shown in Boy's Life magazine May 1922 issue as a Fletco, and the same thing in June 1922 as The Radak. It was also advertised as The Radak in the New York Herald newspaper April 23, 1922, and in the Patterson, New Jersey 'The Morning Call' April 25, 1922 newspaper.
