  • The Canadian General Motors model Delco 988978 is an 8-transistor car radio for 12V negative ground with removable unit for portable operation. Made for 1959 Pontiac model cars. Current draw is 1.3A when in car. Supplied with external 4 x 10 inch eliptical P.M car speaker. Portable unit has internal 3 inch P.M speaker.
    Portable unit requires 4 x 1.3V mercury dry cells, Mallory type DM-9N, or Eveready E9N.
