  • General Electric "Cabinette" Tube Radio Model 495, Mid Century Modern. Verticle mount with a forward top-slant profile all metal cabinet with copper finish. This radio was offered as an accessory to a "Kitchen of the Future" system offered by GE in the late 50's or early 60's. They were called Cabinettes and the profile of the under cabinet storage units are the same profile as the radio. Like the radio the cabinet system was all metal. There was a receptacle specifically for the radio.
