This is the first model in the P780 series that did not have CD marks on the dial. There is an excellent post in the Antique Radio Forum that discuss the differences in the P780 series and also reports that there is an "early" and "late" model for the P780F. The "early" model has "Eight Transistors" on the escutcheon, whereas the "late" model has "General Electric".
