  • This seven-track read after write head is for uses in digital applications e. g. computer systems. 
    Two series of seven magnetic heads in two vertical lines. Two possibility: Record elements on right line or record elements on left line (compatibility with IBM systems). The system works to read immediately after writing digital data on the tape.
    Each read track is 0.031 in wide and each write track is 0.046 in wide, both at intervals of 0.070 in.
