SSB, 1000 watts CW, features full metering, band switching and built in cooling fan, the Mk-2A power supply (price 160 USD) is on a seperate chassis, the only tube used is a single 3-400Z, the power supply uses two 866A high voltage rectifiers, matches the HT-44, the "Loudenboomer" Mk 2A is electronically identical to the HT-45 except the style of knobs, type of meter and front panel trim. It was produced by Radio Industries of Kansas City, this company was a subsidiary of the Hallicrafters Co.
