CT-1001. Teamed with the matching Power Amplifier, the new CT-1001 Stereo Cassette Deck puts high fidelity stereo cassette entertainment - as well as single-channel dictation - right in your front seat. And it's a fun kit to build - with printed circuit boards and preassembled tape transport simplifying assembly. To use, simply insert a cassette cartridge into the front-panel slot and the unit starts to play. An electronic shut-off circuit automatically ejects the cartridge when tape plays through or if tape breaks or hangs up, or if power fails. An automatic "record interlock" protects prerecorded tapes from being accidentally erased. Three knobs give you fingertip control of Volume, Tone and Balance, while another control and indicator lamp give you peripheral-vision control of recording level. A single 3-way Reject Bar performs fast-forward, rewind and reject functions. A separate Record Bar is provided, with the Reject Bar acting as interlock. Microphone plugs into side panel. Solid-state circuitry, regulated motor and quality power amp. combine to deliver 30 Hz to 10 kHz response;. 45 dB S/N; 0.3% wow & flutter; 2% THD; and 30 dB channel separation. Hardware supplied for under-dash or transmission hump mounting. Microphone included. Cassette, Power Amp & choice of speakers make up the system. Add the tuner now or later, with no additional amplifier required.
