  • Notes
  • Our new frequency counter is a value leader that offers a lot of frequency range for the money. Engineers, hams and others will find the SM-2440 suitable for their needs and their budgets. One feature particularly attractive for hams is that the SM-2440 will count frequencies in the 1296 amateur band. It even reaches a maximum frequency of 1300 MHz.
In addition to its high frequency range, this counter features a ±10 PPM time base accuracy, ±1 count. Plus, it offers period and totalize, big extras that only come with a true "universal" counter. Also, units of measurement (kHz, MHz) are indicated on the front panel by bright LED indicators.

    Specifications:

    • Features: 8 digits; low-pass filter, 2-position attenuator, remote start-stop, display hold.

    • FREQUENCY: • Channel A Range: kHz Mode: 5 Hz to 10 MHz. MHz Mode: 5 Hz to 100 MHz.• Channel B (Prescaled) Range: 80 MHz to 1.3 GHz.

    • Accuracy: ±10 PPM time base accuracy, ±1 count.

    • Channel A Resolution: kHz Mode: 0.1 Hz to 100 Hz, switch-selectable in four decade steps. MHz Mode: 1 Hz to 1000 Hz, switch-selectable in four decade steps.

    • Channel B Resolution: 10 Hz to 10 kHz, switch-selectable in four decade steps.

    • Display: Input signal frequency with decimal point positioned by gate switches. Units of measurement (kHz, MHz) indicated on front panel by LED indicators.
