An AC mains 3 band five valve (plus rectifier) superhet table radio covering MW, LW, and SW (16.5 - 52 metres). Elliptical speaker and figured walnut cabinet. Sockets for earth and external aerial, and provision for a gramophone pick-up and extension loudspeaker.
A similar chassis is fitted to the HMV 661 radiogram. See also an earlier HMV 651 model built in Belgium with a different cabinet and valve complement.
