The Rexonola Prismaphonic No. 45 comprises a Swiss made Rexonola (Thorens) double spring motor, a Rexophonic speaker (see advertisement) and Rexonola's patented Prismatic timber (wooden) sound chamber rather than a metal horn. Rexonola Prismaphonics gave sound reproduction of exceptional clarity and fidelity.

The cabinet for the Rexonola No. 45 Prismaphonic is made of Oak and finished in "Mission Oak shade" using a Nitro-Cellulose Lacquer. Rexonola cabinets were manufactured in Sydney NSW Australia. Note the model badge which bears the patent details as well as model number, this model as with other Rexonola Prismaphonics came with a special Rexonola Prismaphonic non spill used needle receptacle and a Rexonola, Prismaphonic speed regulator escutcheon. This model's cabinet has a different fretwork than the regular Rexonola Prismaphonics and is quite attractive.
