The powerful 5-stage circuit uses 2-75s, 1-6A6, 1-76, 1-6E6 and 4-79S, providing an exceptionally high gain. A total of four input channels is provided: two high-gain 5-megohm channels, and two low-gain 500,000-ohm channels. A built-in two-position electronic mixer furnishes a stage of pre-amplification on each of the high-gain channels. The low-gain channels are for use with phono-pick-ups, electric guitars, etc.; the high gain channels are for use with velocity or sound-ceIl type microphones, two of which can be used at the same time. One of the most important features of the circuit is the inclusion of two dual-input fader controls. Each of these faders controls a combination of a high- and a low-gain channel in such a manner that reproduction from two high-gain inputs, two low-gain inputs, or a combination of a high-gain input from one channel and a low-gain input from the other channel can be mixed together or faded from one to the other. Other features include: silent gene-motor, tone control, both master and stand-by switches; output impedances tapped from .35 to 500 ohms; response within 2 db from 50 to 10,000 cycles per second.
