  • The Lafayette catalog shows the A54 and A55 (without hyphen - but this is probably a typo) as the same Superheterodyne chassis but A-54 is a mantel cabinet and A-55 a console. The receive BC 200 - 550 m, police calls, amateur and aircraft stations on 75 - 200 meter band and foreign short wave broadcasts on the 18 - 50 meter band. Two IF amplifiers, AVC, 9 tuned circuits, 3 gang condenser, tone control, airplane dial and 8" "motor magnetic speaker".
