  • Notes
  • The catalog lists the B-59 as 6-tube battery set but one tube, the 6AA is a ballast tube. It is in fact a 5-tube-battery operated Superheterodyne. Filament current may be optained from a bank of ordinary dry cells, an Eveready "Aircell", or a storage battery. The consumption for the "A" battery is 0.5 ampere. For plate supply 135 volts of "B" battery is needed (consumption 13 mA) and for bias, a single 22.5 volt "C" battery.

The model B-59 is listed at $ 69.00 but the Lafayette price is $ 27.50, batteries not included. The batteries would cost $ 10.95 extra. See details for the models of this catalog.
