- The Lafayette 5 Watt DC Amplifier with order number P15785 (Push Pull) is without speaker and tubes - or as P15786 with tubes (without speaker). Some typical Lafayette text: "Listen, you long sufferung residents of D.C. districts: Lafayette engineers have just finished a D.C. amplifier that is a knockout: No more weak results or wasted current: The new Lafayette D.C. amplifier has an output of 5 watts, and works five or six dynamic speakers with all the "push" that has been possible to date only with A.C. amplifiers. The new type 48 (30 volt filament) tubes help do the trick. ... This is the first D.C. Amplifier that has honest-to-goodness "wallop" and we recommend it very highly. ...
