This new amplifier is designed especially for use by political orators and for general ballyhoo work to advertise sales being held by merchants, new films appearing at theatres, etc. The Lafayette combination amplifier is compact enough so that it can be used in the smallest coupe, and is powerful enough for the average small outdoor gathering. 

It can be installed permanently or, if preferred, it can be connected so that at a moment's notice it can be removed from the car and be set up in a hall for operation from the 110 v., 60 cycle ac. line by means of suitable power packs. This versatility lends itself admirably for use in political campaigning where it is used during the day in the car to advertise a meeting to be held that night, and then used in the hall as a regular P.A. system.

The Phono-P.A. Combination incorporates a powerful 12 watt amplifier (for technical specifications see column at left) equipped with a master and a standby switch, a two speed phonograph motor operated from 6v. (not a spring motor), and a crystal pickup equipped with both tone and volume controls. The complete unit is mounted in a steel case with an adjustable side so that the unit can be leveled when placed upon a car seat. All controls face the operator and not the front of the car.
