Notes | The Meguro Stereo Signal Generator MSG-2101 generates a multiplex (MPX) signal according to the FCC standard for testing and adjustment of FM stereo receiving sets. Features: Channel separation, left and right, is typically more than 66dB in the middle audio frequency range. Modulation distortion level is typically less than 0.01%. Superior phase characteristics - frequent adjustments not required. Two internal oscillator frequencies, 400 Hz and 1000 Hz, with distortion less than 0.005% Output connector as well as a phase equalizer for the pilot signal are provided for the pilot for simplification of phase control of the pilot. The SCA (Subsidiary Communication Authorization) channel signal input connector is provided on the rear panel. Remote control operation with a separate unit (option) enables selection of functions for modulation mode, mod. frequency selection and pilot on/off. Frequency Response: 30 Hz to 15 kHz ±0.5 dB Output Voltage: 0.3 to 3 Vrms at open circuit, variable. Output impedance: Approx. 600 Ω, unbalanced Distortion Factor: < 0.03% @ 30 Hz to 10 kHz, < 0.05% @ 10 kHz to 15 kHz S/N Figure: > 75 dB 38 kHz Leakage: < -55 dB at 100% modulation Pilot Signal Frequency: 19 kHz ±2 Hz Ext. Modulation L & R: Frequency range 30 Hz to 15 kHz, Input voltage: < 1 Vrms, impedance approx. 10 kΩ, unbalanced. |
