  • Notes
  • U.S. Army Signal Corps Box BX-13 is designed to provide a means of connecting separate batteries to radio receiver and transmitter BC-222 or BC-322 in case there is no battery BA-32 available.

For normal operations, a BA-32 battery, which has a 5-pin connector, mates to the BC-222 or BC-322 to supply power (3V, 144V, 13.5V, and 4.5V) to the radio sets.

If a BA-32 is not available, a BX-13 may be used to break out the battery connector pins to four binding posts so that separate batteries can be attached to the binding posts.  Also, there is an additional four binding posts which provide ready connection of meters to indicate microphone current, relay current, plate current, and plate voltage.  Note that if meters are not used, jumpers must be used in place of the current (amp) meters.
