  • Notes
  • This is a special purpose radio receiver used in radio beacon monitoring stations for Air Traffic Control purposes. Also was part of R-440 Mobile Satellite Monitoring station, operating with "Astra" converter unit for SW bands. Has digital frequency counter with 1 KHz resolution and 4-digit red LED display. IF selectivity in AM was provided by hermetically sealed LC filter with 6 high Q circuits, and in CW by 4-crystal narrow band filter operating at 128 KHz IF frequency. Overall build quality was really outstanding. The radio was tuned by a 4-gang variable capacitor, with individual RF amplifiers and VFO's for each one of four bands into which the 150 - 1500 KHz range of the receiver was divided.
