  • Radio Receiver BC-224-F:  Aircraft receiver covering long - and shortwaves in six bands, 0,2-0,5 / 1,5-3,5 / 3,5-6 / 6-9,5 / 9,5-13,5 / 13,5-18 MHz, modes AM (A3) and CW (A1, with BFO) powered by 14 V DC from aircraft on-board power system.

    The Belmont Radio Corp. did produce the variant BC-224-F with the output tube modified to a 6K6GT under contract 634-WFSCPD-42 and the technically identical variant BC-224-K also produced by Belmont Radio Corp.

    The included original power supply was the DM-24 dynamotor supply and the shock mount the matching FT-154-(*).

    Produced in even bigger numbers were the very successful 28V DC versions of this receivers, the BC-348 receiver series; from the BC-224 and BC-348 variants, a total of over 100'000 sets has been made.
