  • The Mitchell Bel-Aire 1288 is an AC/DC operated 6 tube BC band receiver.  Uses a 12BF6 tube as an oscillator tube.  Tube lineup is very unusual as the tube filament voltages add up to 133V, which is quite high.  The 50C5 output tube was designed for 5 tube models, while the 35C5 output tube was designed for 6 tube models.  (See Truetone D2552A, which has a similar 6 tube lineup but uses a 35C5 instead of a 50C5).
