• The Motorola International 3200 is the world's first digital handheld phone ("Brick Phone") which operates according to the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) standard in the 900 MHz band. The phone could make and receive calls, but does not support text messaging like SMS. For Europe and Germany it was marketed also under the brand names Bosch (Cartel S 2G1) and Telekom (model D1 327).
  Dimensions without antenna, which will add another 8-17,5 cm (several types available) in height. This mobile phone or cellphone was also manufactured in Germany.
  
  Das Motorola International 3200 gilt als das weltweit erste tragbare Telefon (Handy, Natel..), das nach dem GSM-Standard im 900-MHz-Band arbeitet. Die ersten Funknetze nennen sich D1 und D2 Netz. Im deutschen Sprachraum wurde es auch unter dem Spitznamen "Knochen" bekannt. Das Telefon ist nur für Gespräche eingerichtet, Textnachrichten (SMS) wird nicht unterstützt. Je nach Akkugrösse (Kapazität) und Netzverfügbarkeit waren Bereitschafts-Zeiten von 8...24 Stunden und Gesprächszeiten von 30 min bis über einer Stunde möglich.
  Dieses Telefon wurde unter anderem unter den Marken Bosch (Cartel S 2G1) und Telekom (Modell D1 327) verkauft. Angegebenen Höhe ohne Antenne, je nach Ausführung kommen 8 bis 17,5 cm hinzu.
