  • National Model RQ-705 Tape Recorder

    A two-speed, twin track AC operated monaural tape recorder. Power consumption approx. 50W and a maximum output of 2W. Housed in a smart styled plastic cabinet with chrome grille.

    Features: 5" reels. All pushbutton operation with a new automatic releasing mechanism. The recording can be monitored through the built-in speaker while it is being taped, thus enabling it to be used as a portable public address system. The sockets for microphone etc, are in the tape deck. Other features are: digital tape index counter, instantaneous stop lever, tone control, recording level meter. A new style m icrophone is used with characteristics as a dynamic type. An additional feature is a "Non-error" switch.

    Specifications: frequency response 100 - 15,000 C/s (Hz) at 7½ ips; 100 - 10,000 C/s (Hz) at 3¾ ips. Recording system AC bias 40 kC/s (kHz) and erasure system AC. Speaker 6" x 4" PM dynamic.
