  • In this Pathé machine, the power of the spring was substituted by the force of gravity acting on two heavy castiron blocks. The system was cumbersome but ensured a constant rate of disc rotation. In addition this model was fitted with a system counterbalancing the weight of the reproducer, analogous to that adopted for the pick-up arm of modern Hi-Fi units.

    In questa macchina Pathé la trazione della molla veniva sostituita dalla forza di gravità di due pesantissimi blocchi di ghisa. Metodo ingombrante ma che garantiva una assoluta uniformità di rotazione del piatto. Questa macchina aveva in più un sistema di bilanciamento del peso del riproduttore, sistema analogo a quello adottato sui moderni bracci Hi-Fi.
