  • Notes
  • US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics contract NOa(s) 2346. Specification No. H-15. Fitted with a short type 1/4" and very short cable for extension cable from radio or intercom. Used by US Navy and USAAF. The extension cord, Part N.A.F. No. F47613-4 (PX-GA-2), would have been supplied in the same box.

The actual dynamic earpieces, ANB-H-1A (PX-PDR3), are 130 ohms each approximately and wired in series via the  canvas and leather headband, Navy No. 49510 headband (PX-PHA) also in the box. The ear-pads appear to be padded suede or chamois.

The H-3/ARR-3 are claimed to look identical but have extended frequency response. They are slightly like the DHS-17 headphones in appearance.
