Philips 520
A 21" (53 cm) console on shepherd castors and having 110º aluminised electrostatic-focus tube; 16 valves plus five germanium diodes and two valve rectifiers. Magic-eye photo-resistor cell for automatic contrast/brightness. Cabinet available in maple, walnut or rose mahogany finish.
Features: aerial input 75 or 300 ohms. Ten-channel (VHF) cascode turret tuner. Three high-gain wide-band vision IF stages. DC coupled to the picture tube. Tuner clamped-keyed AGC. Balanced line-hold. Noise clipper. Filter glass. Two safety fuses.
Illuminated channel indicator (round) speakers, one 8" and one 6". Illuminated side-control, push-button on/off switch (includes spot killer). Concentric tone/volume; contrast/brightness; Horizontal/ vertical hold; channel selector/fine tuning. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
