  • Pygmy 860 uses a loop antenna for the shortwaves bands ("systeme MOSTA") allowing some directivity, like with the ferrite rod. However the circuits for SW are simplistic and the performance on the four SW bands is very disappointing. On LW and MW, the results are better but inferior to receivers from the same time. Manufactured in Ireland.
