  • This tube radio uses a catwhisker, a galena detector, 2 tubes and two audio transformers.
    That is typical for a reflex circuit: 1st tuned circuit - 1st tube - 2nd tuned circuit - crystal det. - 1st X-former - 1st tube - 2nd X-former - 2nd tube. The first tube is reflexed for RF and audio, the 2nd tube is AF/output.
